13 new Wetherspoons pubs opening in England this year - full list of locations
Wetherspoons is set to open 13 new pubs in the UK in 2025. The pub chain will open seven more pubs before the summer, alongside four more locations inside Haven Holiday Parks.
Already this year, Wetherspoons has opened two new pubs in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and at London Waterloo station. The latest additions take its overall openings for 2025 to 13 new pubs - see the fill list below, reports MirrorOnline.
At present, Wetherspoon has 796 sites in the UK. It comes after Wetherspoon announced its latest financial update today, with its like-for-like sales increasing by 5.1% over the 25 weeks to January 19, compared with a year earlier.

However, Wetherspoon boss Tim Martin said he is prepared for costs to jump in April due to wage and National Insurance tax increases. He said: “From April 1, labour-related costs at Wetherspoon will increase by around £60 million per annum. The company is confident of a reasonable outcome for the year, although forecasting is more difficult, given the extent of the increased costs.”
The rate of National Insurance paid by firms will rise from 13.8% to 15% from April 2025, while the earnings threshold for when employers start paying National Insurance will also be lowered from £9,100 per year to £5,000. Labour is also raising the minimum wage for workers. The National Living Wage for people aged 21 and over will rise to £12.21 in April, up from £11.44 currently.
Mr Martin also repeated calls to equalise the VAT paid on food by pub and restaurant businesses with that of supermarkets. Most food and drink in shops has zero VAT whereas restaurants and pubs have a standard rate of 20%. The chairman said: “Wetherspoon therefore calls upon Sir Keir Starmer to redress this imbalance, thereby striking a blow for tax equality and ending discrimination in favour of dull dinner parties.”
