From lively spaniels playing on the beach to a tortoise leaning in for a Dandelion snack, the RSPCA's People's Choice award shortlist doesn't lack in adorable animal pictures.
Starting from today (Monday March 20), animal lovers are being given the opportunity to vote for their favourite shortlisted photographs from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Young Photographer Awards, which judges entrants aged 18 or younger.
Voters have two weeks to choose the "Pet Personality" winner in the special online poll. The photos were chosen from a large pool of entries by a judging panel of wildlife experts and RSPCA members.
"Many of the photos showed bags of character, originality and really captured the personality of the animal", said RSPCA organiser Anita Morris. “There are some really lovely images this year so we have put it to the public and given them the chance to pick their favourite."
Prizes include £250 of vouchers to spend on camera equipment, a trophy and an official certificate.
Keen to compete yourself? The RSPCA Young Photographer Awards 2017 will be open for entries on May 8, 2017.
