Ofsted inspectors visit schools across England to ensure that the educational institutions are performing well and preparing pupils for further education and life in a community.
Each school is given a rating – outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate.
Here is the full list of 17 North-East Derbyshire schools that have been recently visited by inspectors and rated this month.
Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School at Green Lane in Dronfield was rated as good in an Ofsted report published on September 28. The school has been previously rated as outstanding. (Photo: Google)

Long Lane Church of England Primary School in Dalbury Lees, near Ashbourne, has been rated as ‘requires improvement’ in an Ofsted report published on September 18. Inspectors who visited the school praised it for making impressive progress in just 12 months after an inadequate rating - but said the school still needs to improve more to be rated as good. Heanor Gate Spencer Academy has undergone a complete transformation from an inadequate rating in 2013 to an outstanding school in 2023.
