A NEW £16 million business park has been hailed as a 'key piece of the puzzle' for the ongoing regeneration of Northwich.

Winnington Business Park has now launched after building work, which started in early 2022, came to an end.

The 113,200 sq ft commercial estate, which is a flagship site of FI Real Estate Management (FIREM), is located off Winnington Avenue, adjacent to the 1,200-property Winnington Urban Village.

Tim Knowles, the founder and managing director of FIREM, said the firm wanted to 'set the bar' for industrial spaces in Cheshire with its development.

He said: “The launch of Winnington Business Park is a proud moment for the whole team at FIREM.

"We went through an extensive design process for the site to ensure we created a product that is relevant for the market and maximises the level of commercial units to complement the Northwich area.

"Our vision was to create a development that sets the bar for industrial spaces in Cheshire, and our construction division (FI Construction) has done an exceptional job in bringing those designs to life.

"Our investment in our new build pipeline is primarily intended to serve increased market demand and offer new, expanding or relocating businesses high quality space in which they can succeed.

"This has a wider impact on the local economy and job market, making Winnington Business Park a key piece of the puzzle for the ongoing regeneration of Northwich."

The launch comes after Cheshire West and Chester Council learned its £45 million funding bid for a new Winnington Bridge had been rejected by the Government.

Winnington Business Park comprises of eight 'high quality' start-up, industrial and trade spaces with units ranging in size from 785 to 6,240 sq ft.

The launch comes as key businesses are already signed up for space, including Northwich Electrical Supplies, Autobodies Centre and Northwich-based Printer Maintenance Ltd, which has commissioned a bespoke fit-out through FIREM.

The new park is set across 7.5 acres and brings to market 51 units for individual or combination leases, catering for growing demand for high quality commercial space locally and regionally.

Industrial and warehouse units at the business park are finished to a shell specification, allowing companies the option to benefit from a range of bespoke fit-out and supplementary services and installations, including utilities connections and energy tariffs suited to business needs.

Dedicated on-site parking is available for all units, in addition to electric vehicle charging and bike storage.

Located two miles from Northwich town centre, the new development provides good connectivity a short distance from the M6 and M56.
