17-year-old boy rescued by firefighters from 'knee-deep' floodwater in Grimsby
Firefighters rushed to the rescue of a 17-year-old boy who had become stuck in "knee-deep" floodwater in Grimsby.
Shortly after 10pm on Monday night, crews from Humberside Fire and Rescue were called to St Nicholas Drive on the Wybers Wood estate to rescue the young male who had become stuck, following the heavy rainfall throughout the day.
Crews used specialist equipment to rescue him and administered first aid, before escorting him home.

Around 100 properties in Lincolnshire were flooded on Monday, and flood warnings and alerts have been issued for various parts of northern Lincolnshire.
A spokesperson for Humberside Fire and Rescue said: "We received a call from our Emergency Service partners on Monday 6 January at 10.15pm to assist with a floodwater rescue. Crews quickly arrived at the scene, where they found one individual stuck in knee-deep floodwater.
"Using specialist equipment, we successfully rescued the individual and administered first aid. Following this, our crews escorted the individual home, where they were left in the care of their family."
The fire log reads: "One 17-year-old male stuck in floodwater, led to safety by four firefighters in dry suits and one rescue sled. Thermal blanket in use."
