As summer approaches, everyone's on the hunt for the perfect holiday spot to enjoy with loved ones.

We all love a good deal, and camping could be the ideal cost-effective choice this year. If you've got the gear but aren't sure where to pitch up, Dalesbridge in Austwick, Lancaster, could be just the ticket. This family-run site on the Lancashire border boasts a fully-licensed bar, shop, and popular pizza oven, as well as bike storage.

There are plenty of walking and cycling routes starting right from the site. For cycling enthusiasts, you'll be thrilled to know that Dalesbridge is a cycle-friendly site nestled between the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales. The site also offers secure bike storage and a cycle wash area for cleaning your bike after a long day's ride.

Camping is the most budget-friendly option, with prices starting at £18, although they rise to £64 during peak season, reports YorkshireLive. During busy periods, a minimum stay of two nights may apply.

Up to six people can stay on a grass pitch, and the campsite also provides walker cabins and camping pods for up to four people. Campers are raving about their stays at a picturesque site, with one happy holidaymaker sharing on Pitchup: "Everything. The toilets were nice and clean.

"I didn't get to check the pub out but the outside seating was lovely. Plenty of space on the pitches.

"Being able to park the car next to the tent is a must as it enables my autistic child to find his safe space and transition. Everyone was friendly, lovely atmosphere all around with nice views."

Another visitor said: "Friendly welcoming staff. Extremely clean facilities (normally hate public toilets! ) Well maintained pitches, location of campsite easy to find and close to Yorkshire three peaks.

"Our whole reason for the trip. Both me, my husband and children all loved the site, would definitely come again."

A third added: "Dalesbridge is a great campsite in a fabulous location. Lots of walking in a beautiful area. The facilities are excellent lots of hot water.

"And even a lovely cosy bar on site. The staff are very friendly and the camp site is well run."

Boasting a stellar 4.5 out of 5 stars on Tripadvisor, another reviewer enthused: "Great site with easy access to loads of places. The pitches are all pan flat and plenty with electric.

"Showers and washing areas are all sound. We were there over bank holiday and it was peaceful.

"Bar and pizzas on site. We had lovely pizza Sunday night. This is perhaps our 4th or 5th visit."

Another happy camper raved about their experience at The Dalesbridge, saying: "My first time camping at The Dalesbridge and certainly won't be my last. Ideal spot if you love walking/ wild swimming/ relaxing with 10/10 views.

"The woodfire pizzas, location and morning coffee were also amazing. Absolutely perfect weekend!"
