10 Twitter accounts every entrepreneur should follow

For today's entrepreneur, social media is an indispensable tool to learn from some of the greatest minds who have ever started or funded a company.
Whether you are looking for tips and tricks to better your chances of getting funded, or you want to know the state of a specific startup market, there's likely a Twitter account that you can benefit from following.
Often, though, finding resources for Sage advice on Twitter can be overwhelming. There's a lot of content that is relevant to startups, and most of it is pretty helpful.
While this list is neither scientific nor exhaustive, these 10 Twitter accounts are a good place to start if you are looking to learn more about startups.
1. Mark Suster - @msuster
Mark Suster is a former entrepreneur who now works as a venture capitalist and runs the blog Both Sides of the Table, alluding to the idea of looking at things from both the perspective of the entrepreneur and the VC. Suster's account offers great tips for founders and he often replies to followers who tweet at him.
2. Chris Dixon - @cdixon
Now a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, Chris Dixon made a name for himself as an entrepreneur and as both an angel investor and institutional investor. Dixon tweets regularly and his tweets run the gamut from his views on the general startup landscape to his thoughts on certain technologies like drones or virtual currencies.
3. Fred Wilson - @fredwilson
Fred Wilson has invested in some of the biggest tech companies through his venture capital firm Union Square Ventures, as well as running his popular blog AVC. Wilson tweets many links back to original content on his blog, as well as unique thoughts on popular topics such as Bitcoin, wearables, and changes in venture capital investing.
4. Steve Blank - @sgblank
Both an entrepreneur and an academic, Steve Blank currently teaches at Stanford, UC Berkeley and Columbia University. Good original content combined with relevant links and data make Blank's account a good one to follow for any founder.
5. Josh Kopelman - @joshk
Josh Kopelman is the founder of First Round Capital, a venture capital firm that specializes in investments in seed-stage companies. In addition to tweets about portfolio companies, followers will find advice for founders and thoughts on the overall startup space. Also, look out for great humorous tweets, like a link to the firm's holiday video.
6. Balaji S. Srinivasan - @balajis
Balaji Srinivasan is a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz where he focuses on healthcare, edtech, fintech, and other unique technologies such as 3D printing. One of his biggest interests is Bitcoin, and he tweets lots of useful information for companies in that space. Other tweets to look for are his thoughts on technology's impact on society.
7. Dave McClure - @davemcclure
Billing himself as the "Founding Partner & Part-Time Sith Lord" of the accelerator 500 Startups, you can expect interesting things from Dave McClure. His tweets will prove useful to many founders, but McClure's account will prove especially valuable to those interested in startups around the world, particularly those in India and China.
8. Brad Feld - @bfeld
Colorado-based Brad Feld is a managing director at The Foundry Group and a long time entrepreneur and investor in startups. Feld tackles a variety of startup topics on Twitter, and often links back to his popular blog Feld Thoughts, which is another good resource for entrepreneurs.
9. Sam Altman - @sama
As the president of startup accelerator Y Combinator, Sam Altman has quite a bit to offer aspiring entrepreneurs. Altman does tweet about YC companies, but he also shares personal wisdom and anecdotes that are helpful to most startups. He tweets sparingly but more information can be found on his blog.
10. Loïc Le Meur - @loic
Loïc Le Meur is a French entrepreneur and co-founder of the well-known LeWeb conference in Europe. Tweets from Le Meur's account vary, but followers will find interesting startups news, how-tos for entrepreneurs, along with some inspirational quotes. Le Meur tweets in both English and French.
