The sub-compact crossover has a chunky look and is available in a whole spectrum of colours.
The 2020 Hyundai Venue brings an even tinier crossover to the brand's lineup in the United States, and the model makes its big debut at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. The new vehicle goes on sale in the United States in the fourth quarter of 2019, but pricing isn't available yet. UK availability is also unknown at the moment, but check back here as we will make an update as soon as we hear anything.
For reference, the Venue is 13 centimetres shorter and 3.05 cm narrower than the Kona. In addition, the wheelbase is 8.13 cm shorter. The little model is 1.52 cm taller, though, which gives the crossover a chunky look. On the inside, the size difference translates to 76.5 litres less total interior volume than the Kona.
The Venue gets power from a 1.6-litre engine with a six-speed manual or CVT. The company doesn't offer specs for this powertrain yet but estimates combined fuel economy of 33 miles per gallon.
Despite its smaller size, the Venue appears more rugged than the Kona because of the new model's more chiselled appearance. Buyers can get colours like Ceramic White, Black Noir, Steller Silver, Galactic Grey, Scarlet Red, Intense Blue, Green Apple, and Denim. The model is also available with a two-tone scheme, including contrasting shades for the roof, mirrors, and trim.
On the inside, the Venue has an eight-inch infotainment screen and a 3.5-inch info display in the instrument cluster. If buyers order the Denim exterior colour, then the cabin is available in a combination of denim cloth and leatherette interior Drivers can also get safety tech like forward collision assist, lane keep assist, blind spot collision warning, driver attention warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.
