For those feeling disheartened by their A-Level results, worry not as there is a world of lucrative career opportunities that don't demand a degree.

Job search engine Adzuna has highlighted a range of well-paying professions that have seen salaries more than double over the past year. The best news is that no stint at university is required.

An unexpected career tops the list with an impressive 107% increase in salary, jumping from £30,519 to a substantial £63,200 in just twelve months. Despite the average salary for UK job adverts seeing a modest annual increase of 2.7% in June, it's worth noting that working one's way up from the bottom is often essential in these fields.

Andrew Hunter, co-founder of Adzuna, told The Sun: "If a 3% increase doesn’t catch your eye, our data shows that there are numerous roles with salary growth exceeding 25%, and they don’t require a degree. If you have exceptional communication skills, consider roles like Dealer (+107%), Traffic Management Operative (+73%) or Social Media Specialist (+60%)."
