All the 26 parts of England facing snow between Saturday and Sunday this weekend have been revealed. The Met Office has shared a warning over snowfall hitting the UK, with up to 40cm - or 16 inches - forecast at times over the coming days.

Yellow and amber alerts have been triggered by the Met Office ahead of Storm Bert hitting. Heavy snow on Saturday, followed by a rapid thaw and subsequent rain on Saturday night, may cause some disruption, forecasters warn.

The Met Office forecast explains: "Showers will gradually fade during the evening, as cloud increases from the west. Turning increasingly unsettled overnight with heavy rain moving in from the west, proceeded by snow across northern areas. Winds strengthening, with gales for some.

"Turning wet and windy for all on Saturday as Strom Bert affects the UK. Turning milder with the snow risk becoming confined to the far north of Scotland." The outlook for Sunday to Tuesday adds: "Wet for many on Sunday as rain clears east, with showers following. Drier and brighter on Monday, but some showers still around. Similar on Tuesday with winds continuing to ease."
