A 3.3-magnitude earthquake hit the south of England on Tuesday, September 8, according to the British Geological Survey, giving two dogs in the town of Leighton Buzzard quite a scare.
Footage captured on a petcam owned by Dean Gray shows his dogs Dotty and Sadie in his living room as the camera is knocked out of focus by the quake.
Speaking to Storyful, Gray said, “I was about to leave my home … as I collected my keys, there was a sudden loud grumbling noise. My dogs freaked out, and so did my cat.”
According to the British Geological Survey, the earthquake that struck Leighton Buzzard had a depth of 6.2 miles. It could also be felt in the nearby towns of Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Luton, all of which were 15 miles from the epicenter.
“The dogs are perfectly fine, and so is the cat,” Gray said.
