Did you know the word ‘sneakers’ has been hashtagged over 24 million times on Instagram?
Whether you’re a diehard Converse convert, you’re partial to a pristine pair of Balenciaga beauties or you’re a full blown sneakerhead willing to queue for two days to get your hands on a pair of limited edition Yeezy Boost’s, we can all be a little bit tribal when it comes to our trainers.
And where better to show off the latest addition to our lace-up library than on the gram?
Now, thanks to research from fashion shipping company Forward2Me, we know which 30 styles come top. Whether you're looking for a bit of inspo, or are keen to make sure you buy some totally unique sneaks, it's an insightful little list.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Adidas and Nike feature prevalently, with Adidas styles taking three of the top five spots. The Adidas NMD, a style from their Originals range first released in December 2015, comes out top of the list with over 5.7 million tags. Adidas Yeezy 350, Vans Old Skool, Adidas Superstar and Converse Chuck Taylor followed respectively.
Nike, meanwhile, feature in 53 per cent of the posts on the list, with Air Max and Air Jordan dominating. Air Jordan 1 is the most popular of all the Nike Jordan’s while Air Max 90 were the most popular Air Max.
