Unemployed Michael Rotondo, 30, ordered to leave his parents' New York home after they sued him

A 30-year-old man from New York has been sued by his parents and ordered to leave their home.

The judge on Tuesday sided with Mark and Christina Rotondo in court as they argued that they had tried and failed to get their son to leave their house.

Their son, Michael, claimed that his parents needed to give him six months notice to leave.

Michael is currently unemployed and claims he was "outraged" by the judge's decision.

It was not decided how long Michael would have to vacate the premises.

According to Mr and Ms Rotondo, Michael failed to help with chores or provide them with any rent payments.

They had even offered him £819 ($1,100) to leave the house.

The fight to get their son out of their property lasted four months.

Initially they went to their local town court to get him evicted however they were told that because he was family, they would need to go to the Supreme Court to get him removed from their property.

A notice issued on February 13 from the parents said: "There are jobs available even for those with a poor work history like you. Get one - you have to work!"

According to CNY Central, Michael left court frustrated and refused to speak to his parents. He added that he will appeal the decision.

The MailOnline reported that Michael filed a lawsuit against Best Buy for discrimination saying that he was fired because he couldn't work Saturdays due to a court visitation schedule.

He is seeking nearly $340,000 in damages and lawyers fees from them.
