$4.5M bond on Gainesville agenda, M of H committee meets Monday

Mar. 16—Sewer work, school curricula and planning for next month's Medal of Honor festivities are all up for debate early next week.

The Gainesville City Council will debate whether or not to sell $4.5 million worth of bonds to improve the city water and sewer system, as well as to finance street improvements.

The council meets Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in its chambers at City Hall, 200 S. Rusk St.

The Gainesville ISD school board will meet at the GISD Administration Building, 800 S. Morris St., on Monday at 5 p.m. Agenda items include updates on mid-year curriculum data and from the Student Health Advisory Council.

Also on Tuesday, the Medal of Honor committee will meet at 6 p.m. at the Gainesville Civic Center to discuss plans for next month's celebrations.
