5 highlights from day 8 of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal tour
1. The Duke and Duchess leave Fraser Island
Harry and Meghan were spotted on their way to their second leg of the tour in Hervey Bay.
The pair had a whirlwind day in Fraser Island on Monday, with pregnant Meghan stepping out of a couple of engagements. She did join her husband for a public walkabout, wearing a stripy Reformation beach dress.
2. History repeats itself
The Duke and Duchess arrived in Fiji on Tuesday afternoon (local time) and were given a warm welcome at an official ceremony in Albert Park, Suva.
During their three day visit, Harry and Meghan are staying at the exact same hotel (the Grand Pacific Hotel) his grandmother the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh resided in, during their trip in 1953.
3. Inside Meghan & Harry’s Fiji hotel
The Duke and Duchess are staying in the capital city of Suva during their visit to Fiji, staying at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
The coastal accommodation has played host to many royals through the years, including the Queen and Prince Charles.
4. Meghan wows in Fijian blue dress
The Duchess continues to impress with her royal tour wardrobe, with two outfits on her first day in Fiji.
Meghan arrived wearing a white Zimmermann dress and a Stephen Jones hat, before changing into a Fijian blue gown by London-based designer SAFiyAA and diamond jewellery for the State Dinner.
5. Prince Harry’s awkward moment
The Duke blushed as a well-wisher shouted out a cheeky comment, while he was visiting Fraser Island.
Prince Harry appeared lost for words momentarily, before giving a speech about the Queens Commonwealth Canopy.
