Something strange has been happening in the beauty world throughout April. While crazy tutorials are a dime a dozen on the Internet, trends and hacks reached peak weird. Blame it on Mercury being in retrograde?

From barbed-wire brows to one woman using her boyfriend’s balls as beauty blenders, the bananas bar has been raised pretty high in 2017. Here, a comprehensive list of all the crazy. Takes notes — or maybe don’t.

1. Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino Hair

Following the release of Starbucks’ Unicorn Frappuccino a few weeks ago, hairstylist Kelly O’Leary-Woodford was inspired to create a ‘do that mimicked the coloring of the sweet frozen beverage. After posting a photo of her blue and pink locks, the image went wild on social media. “My hair coloring is definitely healthier than the drink,” O’Leary-Woodford told the Huffington Post. “If you color hair nice and slow, it’s fine. Plus, the ingredients I use help condition the hair.”

2. Barbed-Wire Brows

After a rising trend of feathered eyebrows, barbed-wire eyebrows starting making major waves. The origins appear to trace back to skin care therapist Sara Jean, who posted an Instagram photo of a model with spiked and separated brows on April 21. Jean credited the look to @athenapaginton, who originally posted a picture of a model with barbed-wire eyebrows on March 10. The post has garnered more than 23,000 likes — but the commenters don’t all agree.

3. Boyfriend Ball Makeup Blending

OK, now this one kind of takes the cake in terms of ridiculously weird beauty hacks. Eighteen-year-old Johnna Hines asked her Twitter followers to dare her to use her boyfriend’s testicles as a beauty blender. The results were …. well, click here to see for yourself (warning, it’s graphic). To each his own?

4. Smoking Snoop Dogg Nail Art

Around National Weed Day, there was an outburst of marijuana manicures that served as nail inspiration for those wanting to celebrate “4/20.” Nail artist Tracy Lee took it a step further and created a custom hand-sketched nail look that included a brown paper roll-up coming from the rapper’s mouth. It has garnered more than 7 million views in just seven days. People are intrigued.

5. Boiled-Egg Beauty Blender

Nothing can top using your boyfriend’s body part as a beauty blender, but a hard-boiled egg comes in a close second. A few makeup artists took it upon themselves to use hard-boiled eggs to apply their face makeup. The results weren’t all bad, but they weren’t all good. If you’re cool with having a smelly face, this just might be the thing for you. Doesn’t hurt to try, right?
