51st State festival preview: Line-up, tickets and everything you need to know

51st State festival returns for its fourth edition in two weekends' time, bringing a who's-who of dance music legends to north London for a one-day party.

If you're heading down or are still in the market for a ticket, we've rounded up everything you need to know.

When and where is it?

The festival will take place within Trent Country Park in Cockfosters, north London, on Saturday August 4.

Line-up

The festival promises to “celebrate the roots of house music, pulling together the threads of this hugely influential sound, exploring classic and tech house, garage, disco, soul, dub, dancehall and more”.

There are a fair few dance music titans spread across the festival’s six stages.

On the Groove Odyssey stage, the hugely influential DJ Carl Cox headlines with a classic house set, backed up by Louie Vega, Danny Krivit and Dimitri from Paris.

Techno pioneer Derrick May and Chicago house icon Derrick Carter lead the way on the Found stage, joined by Lee Foss and Todd Terry.

UK dance heroes Trevor Nelson and Norman Jay are the biggest attractions on the We Love Soul stage, whole Mr Vegas performs a live headline set on the Hot Wuk stage.

The Studio 51 stage is headed up by John Morales and Late Nite Tuff Guy while India and Todd Edwards top the bill on the Backto95 stage.

After party

The 51st State afterparty will be hosted by Ministry of Sound in Elephant and Castle. Todd Terry, Terry Hunter and Late Nite Tuff Guy are among the acts to keep the party going into early hours. Tickets can be bought here.

Tickets

Standard tickets are still available for the festival, currently priced at £60.50 including booking fee, while VIP tickets start at £82.50. They are available to buy here.
