6.5-Magnitude Afghanistan Earthquake Shakes Neighboring Pakistan

A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck northeastern Afghanistan on Tuesday, March 21, the United States Geological Survey said.

Pakistani media reported that the earthquake impacted parts of India and Pakistan and that at least five people were injured following the quake.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the “National Disaster Management Authority and other related institutions to be ready to deal with any emergency situation.”
