6.9-Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Plane on Tarmac

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck Japan on Monday, January 13, prompting a tsunami advisory for the Miyazaki and Kochi prefectures.

This footage filmed by X user @tkyl0 shows the seats of an airplane shaking at what the source said was Kagoshima International Airport.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said that the earthquake occurred at around 9:19 pm local time on Monday, and that the epicenter was in the Hyuganada Sea.
