People from across Oxfordshire have been sending in photos of their cute pets.

They include Mary Avery from Abingdon, who has sent in a picture of the family’s dog Betty Boo.

She said: “This is Betty Boo when she was just a few months old. She is now two and full of mischief, such a joy.

"She was meant to be a Jack Russell but is obviously more Yorkie.

Betty Boo is not named after the singer who rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s, or the cartoon of the same name. Mrs Avery added: “Betty Boo was named by my two daughters, one said Betty and the other said Boo!”
