Casualty spoilers follow.
Tonight's Casualty double-whammy has left us with a lot to think about with Lev, Ethan and Jacob all facing very uncertain futures.
Here are the biggest questions we've been left with until next week:
1. What does the future hold for Lev?
Lev is now facing a bleak future, having been arrested for GBH. The first helping of tonight’s ED drama saw Lev publicly lose his temper and attack a patient who had directed numerous homophobic insults his way.
Given the assault took place on hospital premises, while he was in uniform, Lev’s paramedic career is also up in the air, regardless of whether or not he is charged. What does the future hold for him now?
2. Will we see Xander again?
Xander insisted that he’d washed his hands of Lev following his outburst tonight, despite Faith’s attempts to change his mind.
Desperate for her estranged husband to be happy, Faith bravely met up with Lev’s lover in a bid to discover what had gone on.
During the meeting, Xander insisted that he couldn’t be with someone with Lev’s temper and homophobic upbringing, and told Faith there was no way back for them now. Faith desperately tried to change his mind, but this the last we’ll see of Xander?
3. Is this Jacob’s new story?
Tonight’s second episode offered a first glimpse into Jacob Master’s big, new story as his girlfriend Tina unveiled her manipulative side.
Actor Charles Venn has been teasing a major turning point for Jacob for the past few months, and it’s now looking like Tina will play monumental part in it.
Tina’s dark side insidiously began to unleash itself after Jacob turned down her offer to move in with him. Irritated, Tina threw a number of juvenile strops during her shift, but her most devious move of all came when she deliberately engineered a violent run-in with a volatile patient to get Jacob’s attention.
Tina’s antics worked a charm and a guilty Jacob was soon revoking his earlier decision regarding their living arrangements, but is this just the start of more coercive behaviour from her?
4. Will Robyn and Paul become a couple?
A lonely Robyn was given something to smile about tonight, when she was reunited with an old flame.
Paul, played by newcomer Paul Popplewell, turned up at the ED for his new job on reception, surprising Robyn – who he knew from school.
As they began to reconnect, Robyn confided in Paul about her struggles of being a single mum in lockdown and was thrown when he invited her on holiday with him. After some initial hesitation, Robyn eventually agreed – but is this the start of a new romance for her?
5. Will Ethan tell Fenisha how he really feels?
Unlucky-in-love Ethan faced more setbacks tonight, as he once again struggled to be honest about how he really feels for Fenisha.
Although Fenisha was candid with Ethan about her apprehension over her rekindled romance with newcomer Michael, Ethan failed to set her straight – thus throwing her further off his path.
Unsurprisingly convinced that Ethan wasn’t interested in her, Fenisha agreed to pursue things with Michael, but will Ethan ever manage to be honest with her?
6. What happens next?
Casualty resumes in its usual Saturday night slot next week, with Rosa’s mysterious story taking centre stage this time.
When Ollie is brought into the ED again with mysterious symptoms, Rash grows increasingly suspicious of Rosa’s intentions.
Meanwhile, Ethan continues to push Fenisha closer to Matthew, until a frightening ordeal with Bhodi changes everything. Check back here tomorrow morning to get a full breakdown of next week’s episode.
