6 Home and Away questions after latest Australian episodes

From Digital Spy

Home and Away spoilers follow from this week's Australian-pace episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away aired four new episodes on Australian screens this week, featuring more drama for Jasmine Delaney and the beginning of a potential new romance storyline.

Here are six big questions we've been left with after the latest episodes.

1. Is Jasmine really back on track?

After several days of erratic behaviour from Jasmine, she appeared to reach a turning point this week following an intervention from her friend Colby. When Colby encouraged Jasmine to open up, she confided in him about how much she was struggling in the wake of Robbo's death and her false pregnancy.

Jasmine appeared to benefit from the heart-to-heart, apologising to friends like Willow and Irene for being so short-tempered around them recently.

Notably though, we haven't seen any further scenes of Jasmine back with the Morgans and baby Grace. Jasmine had mentioned to Colby that she was focusing all of her efforts on Grace, as she understandably saw the little one as her last remaining connection to Robbo.

Having had time to reflect, will Jasmine hold back from overstepping the mark around Grace in the future, or could there still be some more drama to come between her and the Morgans?

2. Will Ziggy fall out with Ben?

Home and Away's final cliffhanger of the week saw a bombshell dropped on Ziggy. With Ziggy's parents now separated following the Marco drama, Ben has been exploring a possible romantic connection with new arrival Gemma.

One person who wasn't too happy over this was Gemma's son Nikau, who felt his mum was disrespecting the memory of his late father by moving on with her life.

Nikau's complaints didn't go down too well with his family, so he changed tactics by confronting a stunned Ziggy: "Hey, got a message for your dad. Tell him to stay the hell away from my mum."

We know that Ziggy is desperate to see her parents back together again, so could she fall out with Ben for moving on so quickly, or will she be supportive of her father?

3. Will Ben and Gemma become a couple?

Nikau's intervention came just as Ben and Gemma were preparing to have an important chat over their future. The pair had spent the past few days flirting with each other, but when Ben invited Gemma back to his motel room, she didn't want to take things further.

Instead, Gemma broke down and opened up to Ben about her late husband. Afterwards, they fell asleep together at the motel.

When Ben and Gemma next caught up with each other, it was clear that they'd need to have a conversation about what the previous night meant. Are there any genuine romantic feelings between them?

4. Can Maggie move on with her life?

The Astonis' break-up has clearly hit Maggie hard. While Ben has embraced the single lifestyle and seems ready to move forward with his life, Maggie has appeared reluctant to let go of her marriage.

Maggie reacted badly when she saw Ben and Gemma flirting with each other at Salt, but earned herself a frosty reception from Ben when she questioned the nature of their friendship.

With Ben making it very clear that their marriage is over and his romantic life is none of her business anymore, will Maggie have to start making some big decisions about her own future?

5. Will John let Marilyn back into his life?

John is still recovering in hospital after suffering a stroke. While Marilyn is determined to support her husband in any way she can, John has told Alf to keep her away from the hospital because he doesn't want Marilyn to see him struggling in a hospital bed.

Alf later broke the news of John's decision to Marilyn, although he and Roo both assured her that John was sure to change his mind in time.

Marilyn respected John's wishes by staying away, but urged Alf to pass on the message that she wanted to be there for John and would never see him as a burden. Will John relent and accept Marilyn's support?

6. When will Evan and Ryder be honest with each other?

It was a week that had us frantically trying to keep track of who knows what in the extended Stewart family. Struggling to see Ryder kept in the dark over his long-lost father's illness, Roo broke the news to him that Evan is dying.

Rather than seek answers from his dad, Ryder decided to carry on as normal and not make him aware of the fact that he knows the truth. Instead, he asked Evan to show off his singing skills by performing a gig in the Bay, wanting to secure one lasting memory with his father before it's too late.

Evan found himself talked into the idea, despite secretly harbouring fears that he isn't well enough to perform. Can he make the gig a success – and how long can he and Ryder avoid talking about the bigger picture?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
