Home and Away spoilers follow from Australian-pace episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

This week on Home and Away in Australia, Nikau and Bella enjoyed some lucrative career opportunities, but it wasn't all good news for the Paratas as Tane's relationship with Ziggy hit another stumbling block.

Elsewhere, Lewis was sentenced for his crimes, and Justin continued to become reliant on painkillers.

Here are six big questions we've been left with after the latest Australian episodes.

1. Will Nikau and Bella be torn apart?

Nikau and Bella both landed exciting new opportunities in the city this week. Nikau was offered the chance to sign up to a modelling agency and an initial photoshoot for his portfolio proved to be a big success, as he was booked for his first official job just hours later.

The agency was so keen to get Nikau on board that it also offered him a sweetener, arranging for Bella to be mentored by successful photographer Emmett Ellison as part of the deal.

Nikau and Bella ended the week toasting their mutual success as the agency sent them some champagne to celebrate, but it's no secret that storm clouds could be gathering for their relationship in the long-run.

Home and Away's official promo for this storyline (viewable at the top of the page) shows Bella getting jealous in upcoming episodes, as Nikau's new career means him getting up-close-and-personal with a female model on more than one occasion.

Could the difficulties of this tricky situation tear their relationship apart?

2. Has Amber planted a seed of doubt in Tane's mind?

Amber was recently given reason to doubt Dean's commitment to her when she declared her love for him and he was unable to respond in the way she'd hoped. The upsetting moment left Amber fearing like she'd always be second best to Dean's ex-girlfriend Ziggy.

This week, Dean and Ziggy took part in Summer Bay's big surf competition and looked incredibly cosy together as they both won. Amber commented on their obvious connection to Tane, giving him cause to doubt his relationship with Ziggy.

Tane later asked Ziggy some awkward questions about why she split from Dean in the first place. Unable to reveal the full story of Ross Nixon's murder and who else was involved, Ziggy declined to provide many details.

Tane appeared to accept Ziggy's decision in the short-term, but could Amber have now planted a seed of doubt in his mind which causes problems further on down the line?

3. How will Christian move on from Lewis's crimes?

It was a big week for Lewis's victims following his reign of terror at the hospital. As it was time for Lewis to face sentencing for his crimes, he admitted that he'd murdered three patients in order to frame Christian for negligence.

Christian was keen to move on with his life in the aftermath, wanting to stay positive rather than focusing on vengeance towards a clearly-unwell man. Top of his list was bringing forward his wedding to Tori by setting a date for four weeks' time.

Even so, Christian has clearly been left with plenty to think about after Lewis nearly killed him during a terrifying showdown at the hospital. Christian told Tori that he remembers everything that happened when she was fighting to save his life, even when he was clinically dead for a few minutes.

A sceptical Tori was quick to point out that an out-of-body experience wasn't medically possible in the circumstances, but Christian stuck to his guns. For the first time, he seemed interested in a spiritual explanation, rather than a purely scientific one.

Could this experience ultimately give Christian a new outlook on life?

4. Does Jasmine have more heartbreak ahead?

Jasmine chose to attend Lewis's sentencing to show her support, but was struck by how unwell he seemed. She was also upset that he failed to look at her for the duration of the hearing.

Jasmine was also keen for some spiritual guidance after hearing about Christian's experiences. She was excited when Marilyn agreed to give her a tarot card reading, but her enthusiasm was soon destroyed when a traumatic card was the very first one to come out of the deck.

Jasmine immediately fled from the reading rather than hear any more details. Could the writers be foreshadowing yet more trouble ahead for Jasmine? Surely she deserves a break.

5. Can Ryder make amends with Mac?

Ryder recently quit his job at Salt in protest at his girlfriend Chloe being unfairly fired. As the restaurant was already overstretched, Mac immediately fell into problems with two employees now off the books.

Ryder and Chloe decided to embrace their freedom, spending their days on the beach and having fun rather than looking for new work. Mac did send Ryder a text wanting to discuss his future, which he chose to ignore in the short-term. But as the reality of unemployment hits, could he have to swallow his pride and work for Mac again?

6. Is Leah getting closer to the truth?

Leah started the week purely focused on the search for Susie, but as the days progressed, she realised that her partner Justin may be the real cause for concern.

Justin has been over-medicating as he struggles with his ongoing back problems. Leah became aware of the issue when she found him in a bad way at home following an overdose, but she currently believes this was an accident rather than a bigger issue.

Justin felt humiliated when he paid a visit to the doctor with Leah and she disclosed the amount of medication that he'd been taking – something that he'd preferred to keep quiet.

Leah pointed out that Justin should have nothing to hide as he didn't take too many pills on purpose, unaware that the opposite is true. Justin tried his best to cover, but will it become harder for him to keep the truth from Leah in the coming weeks?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
