6 Home and Away questions after this week's Australian episodes

From Digital Spy

Home and Away spoilers follow from this week's Australian-pace episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away aired four new episodes in Australia this week, as Jasmine Delaney went public with fears for baby Grace, and the Parata family found themselves under close scrutiny from the police.

Here are six big questions we've been left with after the latest episodes.

1. Is Jasmine planning a battle for Grace?

Jasmine has become obsessive over baby Grace in sad scenes, but had managed to avoid anyone finding out. That began to change this week, as she grew rapidly more vocal in her disapproval over the way Tori is looking after her young daughter.

In dramatic scenes, Nikau carjacked Tori's vehicle when baby Grace was still in the back seat. Although Tori had become distracted by helping John on the side of the road when he suffered a fall, Jasmine couldn't believe that Grace's mum had left her unattended with the keys in the ignition.

Although Grace was safely returned within hours, Jasmine didn't hold back when it came to how she felt about the situation. With Tori in earshot, Jasmine complained to Justin about Grace being put at risk.

Jasmine later consulted Colby for police advice, asking him whether Tori could have committed neglect. When a baffled Colby shut this question down, Jasmine even tried contacting a lawyer and soon vented to Mackenzie about the situation too.

Although Jasmine was told that she had no legal rights to step in over Grace, her very public actions appear to mark a turning point in the ongoing story, as she's no longer hiding her secret animosity towards Tori. Will she continue to do battle for Grace – and could the friends be heading for a major fall-out?

2. Will the Morgans catch Grace's kidnapper?

Nikau tried to flee from Summer Bay to escape the ongoing investigation into the Diner break-in, but was mortified when he realised that he'd stolen a car which had Grace in the back.

With help from his uncle Tane, a frightened Nikau abandoned his runaway attempt and ensured that Grace was returned anonymously to the Morgan family.

Tane also instructed Nikau to remove all of his prints from Tori's car to avoid being linked to the theft and kidnapping.

Colby already suspects that the Parata family were involved in the incident, but has no proof so far – especially as the abandoned car hasn't been found yet.

Did Nikau remove all of his fingerprints successfully? And is it only a matter of time before the Morgans discover who was behind their worrying ordeal?

3. Who actually broke into the Diner?

The Diner break-in has been a major topic of conversation for several weeks in Summer Bay, with Colby convinced that a member of the Parata family must have been responsible.

Nikau's nervous behaviour in recent weeks has pointed to his possible guilt, and some fans have wondered why he tried to flee from Summer Bay if he genuinely had nothing to hide.

Interestingly, though, there haven't been any scenes which offer cast-iron proof that Nikau or either of his uncles is responsible for the robbery. Could the Home and Away bosses be planning a further twist which reveals Colby has got this one wrong?

4. Have we seen the last of Evan Slater?

Terminally-ill Evan stuck to his decision to leave Summer Bay, despite his son Ryder wanting him to stay for longer. Evan had cherished the time that he'd spent with Ryder, but didn't want the teen to see him deteriorating further.

Roo decided to leave temporarily with Evan to help him look into palliative care options.

Despite the finality of these scenes and Evan's heartbreaking farewell, we know that Cameron Daddo – who plays him – has been been spotted on the Home and Away set more recently. Could he still return to the Bay further down the line?

5. Could Bella and Nikau still reunite?

When Bella returned to the Bay following her time in therapy a few weeks ago, she made it clear to Nikau that she wasn't in the right headspace for a relationship.

Despite cutting ties on their romantic connection, Bella loyally stood by Nikau this week as he remained under suspicion over the Diner break-in.

Bella even tipped Nikau off over how Colby's investigation was going, and shared a touching moment with him when they lay quietly on the same bed and held hands. Are the writers paving the way for a future reunion?

6. Are John and Marilyn heading for heartbreak?

John has returned home from hospital after his stroke and can count on loyal support from Marilyn, who has agreed to become his carer. Sadly, the dynamic doesn't appear to be going well, as Marilyn's constant fussing continues to irritate John.

This week, we saw several moments of tension between the pair – and Alf could sense how much they were both struggling when he paid a visit to them and stayed for dinner.

Given the fractured state of their marriage before John's stroke, could the under-pressure couple be torn apart further in the coming weeks?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
