Holby City spoilers follow.
Next week on Holby City, Max is rocked by the reappearance of an old frenemy, while Kian's lies unravel – and so do Cameron's.
Here's a full collection of the seven biggest moments coming up:
1. Max is haunted by an old enemy
As her post-Covid stresses mount, Max finds her problems intensifying when her old frenemy – Lucky Simpson – turns up on the wards.
Lucky, played by Vineeta Rishi, is a psychiatric nurse who shares a mysterious past with Max from their time at another hospital.
With Max also struggling with the financial burden of keeping the hospital doors open, it's not long before she reaches breaking point – just as she is about to perform a very high-stakes brain surgery.
2. Kian infuriates Jac
As Clayton’s crisis deepens, Kian is determined to help Jac, despite her reluctance. Refusing to let it lie, Kian comes up with a somewhat controversial plan – which includes bringing in the new F1s.
Kian challenges impressionable trio to get to the bottom of Clayton's mysterious symptoms, and even bribes them with money if they succeed.
But with Jac keen to keep Kian at arm's length, is he just making everything worse?
3. Donna gets another surprise
Donna's discomfort is palpable when Fletch reveals that Alex has landed himself a permanent role at the hospital, and she wastes no time in making her feelings known.
But although Donna is adamant that she has no interest in forming a non-work related friendship with Alex, her true feelings on the matter come to light when she steps in to defend Sacha's new romance to Dom. Is Donna's antagonism towards Alex simply masking her inner conflict?
4. Ange warns Chloe over Cameron
As Chloe continues to grow close to Cameron once again, Ange is unable to hide her concern over her daughter's choices.
Ange has made no secret of her feelings towards Cameron and is one of the only members of the team who has some insight into his true colours.
Worried after hearing that she's considering going on another date with Cameron, Ange urges Chloe to watch her back. As it happens, Ange needn't worry at all, as Chloe is about to stumble across Cameron's nefarious ways all on her own...
5. Max makes a discovery
As Max reels from seeing the ghost of Christmas past, she becomes unsettled by Lucky's familiarity with her son Louis.
Lucky would know Louis due to her former friendship with his mum, but Max's confusion derives from the fact that Lucky hasn't once questioned Louis's transition. Louis is quick to cover when Max interrogates him, but it later becomes apparent that there is indeed far more to this story.
As further secrets about Max's history with Lucky come to light, the biggest blow for her is the discovery that Louis actually confided in Lucky about his transition, during his estrangement with Max. Devastated, Max is unable to avoid punishing her son, but will this divide a wedge between their already-fragile relationship?
6. Kian's secret unravels
As Jac continues to keep Kian at a distance, she's unaware that his addiction relapse is spiralling out of control as a result.
When Kian is caught in the act by Fletch, he covers by insisting that he was prescribed antidepressants following the challenging events of the summer.
Fletch buys into the medic's unsuspecting claims, but Kian faces an even bigger problem when he's later caught out by Clayton. Unbeknown to Kian, Clayton has just declared his feelings for Jac, so could he use this new knowledge to cause a rift between the couple?
7.Chloe hears two big secrets
Cameron's own secrets will also begin to unravel next week, when Chloe discovers the truth about his fling with Nicky.
Fed up of being given the runaround, Nicky decides to tackle the situation head on and tells Cameron that she wants them to be an official couple. The only issue is that Chloe is in earshot and awkwardly hears everything. And her discoveries don't end there, either.
As Chloe reels from Cameron's lies, her mum Ange uses the opportunity to inform her of his other big secret – he's not a Covid hero after all.
Holby City airs these scenes on Tuesday, November 24 at 7.50pm on BBC One.
