Holby City spoilers follow.
Next week on Holby City, it's the beginning of the end as the team get devastating news, while Dom sparks concern when he returns to work and Jac fights for her life.
Here's a full collection of the seven biggest moments coming up:
1. Dom returns to work
Dom returns from compassionate leave following Carole's death, but Sacha is concerned he isn’t ready.
Sacha's fears are quickly confounded when Dom struggles to control his emotions when a patient’s condition triggers memories of his father. Will Dom be able to hold it together?
2. Nicky struggles with her responsibilities
Nicky is horrified to find Jac in a worrying state, following her seizure last night (January 4).
Rightly concerned, Nicky wants to inform Max of what's going on but Jac swears her to secrecy as she prepares to attend one of the most important meeting's of her life.
Distracted, and wanting to help, Nicky accompanies Jac to the meeting – leaving her baby daughter Juliet alone in the process. When Nicky returns, she is overwhelmed with relief to find Amelia with her with the youngster, but it's clear the pressure of new motherhood is beginning to take its toll.
3. There's devastating news about the hospital
Jac’s increasing health issues threaten her presentation to the CDS but she is determined to plough on anyway.
Unaware of what's going on, Fletch remains fully confident that Jac will pull Holby out of special measures. Jac manages to fight through her symptoms to present to the board, but is thrown when they insist that her innovation simply isn't going to bring down the backlog the hospital is facing.
As a result, Jac, Max and Henrik are devastated when they are informed that it's likely all specialist surgical wards will be relocated to a single site – which is likely to be at St James' hospital instead. Is this the beginning of the end?
4. Jac fights for her life
Despite making it through the presentation, Jac's health takes another turn for the worst shortly afterwards.
After suffering another seizure, Jac is forced to undergo an MRI scan to get more definitive answers on how her tumour is progressing.
Unfortunately, Max quickly realises that the situation is far more serious than they originally thought and Jac is rushed into surgery immediately. But when Jac flatlines in theatre, will her colleagues be able to save her life?
5. Sasha supports Dom
As Dom struggles to separate his personal feelings from a patient's case, Sasha urges him to see the bigger picture.
Finally opening up, Dom tells Sasha that he's consumed with guilt over how he treated Carole and is struggling to process his grief. Sasha quickly reminds Dom of how supportive he was of Carole in the final months of her life, and encourages him to remember that he takes after her – and not his troubled dad.
Sasha then comes up with a poignant way to celebrate Carole's life, but will Dom be able to move forward?
6. Henrik fights for the hospital
Following the bad news from the CDS, Henrik refuses to give up and presents a counter argument to Regina.
Henrik is quickly reminded that he was the one who reported his concerns in the first place and faces some awkward questions about the goings-on at the hospital of late.
Determined to change their mind, Henrik has one final trump card still to play – but will it have the desired effect?
7. Fletch makes a blunder
Fletch has unwavering faith in Jac's ability to get the hospital out of special measures, so much so that he has booked a presumptive celebration for that evening.
Upon hearing the bad news that this is not the case, a guilty Fletch fails to share the news with his team, leading Kylie and Louis to believe that everything is fine.
Kylie and Louis are left furious when they later learn the truth and are quick to pull Fletch up on his behaviour. Will he be able to earn back their trust?
Holby City airs these scenes on Tuesday, January 11 at 7.50pm on BBC One.
