7 reasons why EastEnders' Tiffany is one to watch

She's only been back on our screens for a matter of days, but already EastEnders' Tiffany Butcher is making her presence known. That quick-witted little girl who left in 2014 to live in Milton Keynes has undergone a huge transformation during the last four years, and has come back as a young woman with a healthy appetite for misbehaviour.

The apple hasn't fallen far from the tree with Bianca's mini-me, and much like her mum, we've got a feeling that Tiffany is going to establish herself as a memorable character in Albert Square. Here are seven reasons why we think you need to keep this little redhead on your radar...

1. She's going to be trouble with a capital T

And then some! The once cute-as-a-button kiddie has blossomed into a right manipulative madam (where did she learn that from, we wonder?). In just a few days, we've had Tiff inventing a pregnancy, making faux calls pretending to be Bianca, then falsely telling Whit that her mum tried to take her own life.

What's obvious is that Tiffany is a natural when it comes to forming an elaborate sob story. Her brattish behaviour is reminiscent of the kind of capers that a young Stacey Slater used to get up to when she first rocked up in E20.

But you've got to be ballsy to make your mark on the Square, and if her first week back is anything to go by, we're in for one hell of a ride with this one.

2. Tiff gives Whitney a reason to stay

Let's be honest, Whit's just been floating around without any purpose for a really long time. Her rubbish affair with Mick was a massive turn-off, no-one ever really believed her and Woody would go the distance, and now she's surplus to requirements at The Vic.

But with her half-sister back in town and wanting to stay put in the place she was brought up, Whit now has the perfect reason not to swap Walford for Wakefield. If she agrees to take Tiff on, there's no doubt her younger sibling will runs rings around her, but the siblings have got a rock solid bond.

We've got visions of them running a market stall together... although don't expect Tiffany to pull her weight.

3. It's like watching '90s Bianca

The fiery temper to match her hair, the gold earrings and metallic puffa! It's as if we've been transported back to 1995 and we're watching young Bianca in action again. The genius 'Enders writers have created a carbon copy of one of their most iconic characters, but set her to 2018.

Seeing as it's highly unlikely Patsy Palmer is going to make a return to the show that made her a star (she's now a feminist campaigner in Malibu), then we'll have to make do with the next best thing – her on-screen daughter.

We just need them to cast Tiff a BFF, so we can recreate that magical Bianca/Tiffany partnership in the 21st century. Or find a modern day Rickaaay...

4. To see her getting led astray and vice versa

She's got a massive gob on her (clearly inherited from her mum) and a streetwise attitude, so it's easy to forget Tiff is still only 14 years old. Since there's a serious shortage of characters close to her age in Walford (aside from Riley Taylor), she's bound to gravitate towards an older crowd, and predictably end up getting mixed up with the wrong sorts.

We think Tiff can more than handle herself, though – in fact, we bet that she'll be the one ending up calling the shots.

5. To put the Butchers back on the map

Once upon a time the Butcher clan were a force to be reckoned with in Albert Square, now there's only young Tiffany flying the family flag. Will her reappearance pave the way for more of her relatives to return to their old stomping ground?

Big brother Liam is the most likely to come back and join the crew, but top of our wish list has to be Tiff's Aunty Janine. We've been deprived of the magnificent Charlie Brooks for way too long, and want 2018 to be the year of the Janine comeback. And what better excuse does she have to return to London that to see her niece?

6. Maisie Smith is a natural

The talented actress won hearts across the nation when she made her EastEnders debut a decade ago as an adorable six-year old, and even scooped a gong at the British Soap Awards for her comedic performance.

She may have been out of the acting game for a few years, but Maisie's still got whatever 'it' is. True, Tiffany's currently dividing opinion on social media, but once she's bedded back in, we think she's going to become a favourite amongst the fans. Is there more to this selfish teen than meets the eye? Of course!

7. Purely for the fashion

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that gold bomber jacket? Reminiscent of the signature silver puffa that B used to floss back in the day, Tiffany's clearly been taking style tips from her mumma. Yes, it's cliché, and Tiffany looks like she's wearing a sweet wrapper, but we love that little nod to the past.

Trashy Tiff also seems to share her mother's penchant for loud patterns, and anything that looks remotely flammable. We're just waiting for her to whip out the zebra print leggings, and matching scrunchie.
