Next week on Casualty, Zsa Zsa is back to operate on Luka, a grieving Charlie returns to work and Marty faces another rejection.

Here is a collection of the eight biggest stories you can look out for:

1. Zsa Zsa is back

And properly this time. That's right, Cagney & Lacey star Sharon Gless has reprised her role as word class surgeon Zsa Zsa Harper-Jenkins for her third stint, with her return coinciding with little Luka's devastating diagnosis.

Quietly confident she can take on this challenge, Zsa Zsa prepares to operate on Luka, but not before warning his anxious parents Lev and Faith about the possible dangers.

2. Zsa Zsa and Connie go head to head (again!)

The show will be revisiting Zsa Zsa's former rivalry with clinical lead Connie Beauchamp next week, when the pair share a handful of snide exchanges.

Zsa Zsa has no time for Connie and makes her feelings unequivocally known, but she also notices something intriguing about her bessie mate Dylan, too. Speaking of which...

3. Dylan is confronted over his feelings

Never one to miss a trick, Zsa Zsa can't resist integrating Dylan on the lengths he has gone to for married nurse Faith.

Embarrassed, Dylan brushes off any insinuation that calling in a favour with Zsa Zsa was out of the ordinary and insists he would do the same for anyone. If you say so, Dylan.

4. Faith and Lev get more devastating news

As Lev and Faith nervously wait as Zsa Zsa operates on Luka, their worst fears appear to be coming true when there's a complication.

Faith and Lev are forced to watch on in horror as Luka fights for his life, but will he pull through? And what will the outcome of the surgery be?

Fans will have to wait and see, but we can reveal that the couple will be hit with more tragic news by the end of the episode that turns their world upside down all over again.

5. Charlie returns to the ED

Charlie will shock his friends next week when he returns to work earlier than expected and demands normal treatment in the wake of Duffy’s death.

Determined to plough on as normal, Charlie throws himself into work, but begins to realise how much Jacob has changed the ED in his absence.

However, when an old patient of Duffy's called Henry questions her absence, Charlie has to face up reality as he painfully explains that his wife has died.

6. Jade worries about Marty

Jade will grow concerned about her friend Marty when he arrives at work hungover, before quickly arranging an online hook up for his lunch break.

Worried, Jade expresses her worry over Marty's behaviour, but he retorts angrily and accuses her of being jealous.

Hurt, Jade watches in disgust as Marty manipulates Charlie into arranging last minute leave, claiming it’s his mother’s birthday, when really he just wants time to sleep off his next hangover.

7. Marty faces another rejection

When Marty later arrives at his date’s house, he's brutally rejected again, as the man claims he looked "more white" in his pictures and shuts the door in his face.

Shocked, and utterly humiliated, Marty hides his pain as heads back back to work, where he lies to Jade about the great time he's had.

8. Charlie begins to crumble

Despite his best attempts to put on a front, Charlie's facade begins to crumble when Henry lashes out at him over his diagnosis.

Although Charlie later forgives Henry for his cutting words, it reawakens his grief and he's forced to face up to a sad reality.

Duffy is all he’s ever known, and he doesn’t know how to exist in an ever-changing ED without her.

Casualty airs these scenes on Saturday, February 29 on BBC One.
