8 Holby City spoilers for next week

Next week on Holby City, Kian makes a huge sacrifice for love, Dom and Lofty reach breaking point and Jac's behaviour causes more concern.

Here is your full collection on all the biggest stories you can expect:

1. Kian takes a major risk for Bea

When Kian's girlfriend Bea is brought back onto the word, she is devastated to learn that her condition has worsened due to an infection.

Bea is left even more distraught to learn that she will need another operation, with a long recovery period, and begs Kian to think outside the box.

Desperate to deliver the surgery that Bea desires, Kian takes his proposal to an increasingly-irrational Jac but is left frustrated when she won’t play ball.

When he is unable to change Jac's mind, Kian puts his career on the line and deliberately sabotages Bea's surgery in order to engineer his own scenario. But will Kian end up losing everything as a result?

2. Kian and Jac come to blows

Acutely aware of Kian's devious actions, Jac hides her fury while carrying out the rest of the surgery but has an explosive showdown with him immediately afterwards.

While everyone breathes a sigh of relief after the operation, Jac is incandescent with rage over what happened and publicly confronts Kian in front of everyone.

To make matters worse, new CEO Max witnesses the pair's extremely unbecoming argument and is forced to discipline them both.

However, as Jac reels from her fallout with Kian, those closest to her are quick to point out that she would never have behaved so unprofessionally if there wasn't something more serious going on. Will anyone realise just how much Jac is struggling?

3. Jac tries to reach out for help

She's spent the last few weeks suffering in silence but Jac will finally realise she can't keep on running away from her problems next week.

After tense run ins with Kian, Max and Chloe, Jac attempts to reach out to her trusty friend Fletch when she fears that she might not be fit for purpose.

Sensing she needs to talk about something, Fletch urges Jac to open up but the moment is ruined when Ange unintentionally interrupts them.

Spotting how happy Fletch is with Ange, Jac later decides against confiding in him and continue to struggle alone.

4. Lofty faces his darkest day

Following last night's devastating episode, Lofty prepares for the most difficult day of his life: baby William's funeral.

Although Lofty is adamant that Helen has to be the priority, he struggles to cope with the enormity of what's happened and takes his anger out on his long-suffering husband Dom.

With Helen heavily relying on Lofty for support, the nurse is forced to put his ignore both his own needs and those of his husband Dom as he heads off to say a final goodbye to William.

5. Dom makes a huge sacrifice for Helen

Lofty isn't the only one who is too busy putting others first, as Dom is very much doing the same. As Lofty wades through the fog of his own grief, Dom his forced to battle through his alone – adamant that he doesn't have the same right to feel sad.

Despite being determined to support Lofty through the difficult day, Dom faces an impossible dilemma when a grief-stricken Helen turns up at the hospital and urges him not to come to the funeral.

Helen insists that her mother wouldn't understand their situation and implores Dom to take a step back, leaving the doctor feeling more alone than ever.

6. Dom and Lofty reach breaking point

As Dom and Lofty continue to run away from their own problems, tensions between them will reach breaking point after Helen makes a final plea.

United in their grief after the funeral, Helen reiterates her feelings for Lofty and kisses him, unaware that Dom is watching.

Heartbroken, Dom finally loses his patience with Lofty and insists he won't be messed around any longer. Can Lofty prove his love? Or is it the end of the road for Dofty?

7. Elliot makes a final decision

When Elliot's health takes a turn for the worst amid Jac and Kian's explosive row, he has a huge change of heart over his impending operation.

Having seen how competently Jac performed Bea's heart surgery, Elliot decides that he does want her to take the lead on his operation after all.

Despite strong protests from Fletch, who is correctly convinced that Jac isn't herself, Elliot goes against his advice and approaches Jac with his final decision.

8. Donna battles with her own demons

Next week's episode is also a big one for Donna, who is haunted by memories of her own tragic past .

After coming up with an excuse not to attend William's funeral, Donna distracts herself by focussing on returning patient Cherie Grimes – who was previously diagnosed with cancer.

Donna enjoys reminiscing with Cherie, but when the fun-loving pensioner goes missing, will she be brave enough to convince them both to face up to their fears?

Holby City airs these scenes on Tuesday, November 26 at 8pm on BBC One.
