Home and Away spoilers follow from Australian-pace episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.
Home and Away only aired four new episodes in Australia this week, but there were no shortage of talking points as the Parata family's vengeful enemies struck again.
Ari was left fighting for his life after being deliberately knocked down in a hit and run incident, leaving his loved ones in turmoil.
Meanwhile, Christian faced a confidence crisis after his feud with Lewis took a new twist, and Dean tried to take his friendship with Amber to the next level.
Here are eight big questions we've been left with after the latest Australian episodes.
1. Will Ari survive?
It was another traumatic week for the Parata family, as Paul continued his evil attempts to take revenge over Tane's debt and the recent beating he received from Heath Braxton.
Ari was rushed to hospital with a number of injuries, including a bleed on the brain, and required emergency surgery. Although this was successful, the doctors decided to keep him in an induced coma to give him the best chance of making a full recovery.
Ari's loved ones faced an anxious time, as all they could do was wait for news on his fate. By the end of the week, there were no further updates on how things were going.
Fortunately, this is one question we can give an answer to, as Rob Kipa-Williams – who plays Ari – has been pictured filming on location for Home and Away recently.
With the show shooting scenes months in advance, it looks like we don't need to worry about losing Ari from Summer Bay.
2. Will Ari and Mia reunite?
Ari and Mia's relationship was strained at the time of the hit and run. Mia had struggled to forgive Ari after the Parata family's gangster problem led to her daughter Chloe being kidnapped.
Mia even started making plans to leave Summer Bay, adamant that there was no chance of reconnecting with Ari now.
When Mia learned that Ari was in a coma, however, everything suddenly changed. She rushed to be at Ari's bedside and acknowledged her true feelings while talking to him, unsure whether he could hear her.
Mia expressed her sincere regrets over saying things she didn't mean when they'd been arguing. She also indicated that she wanted to work things out if Ari recovered. Could there be a happy ending when Ari regains consciousness?
3. What will Mac's next move be?
Ari's horrific incident couldn't have come at a worse time for Mac. Mac recently discovered that she's pregnant with Ari's baby, and had been struggling with how to break the news to him after he'd decided to end their relationship.
Just when Mac was ready to be honest with Ari and find out whether this changed anything for their future, she discovered that he was fighting for his life in hospital.
Mac has already expressed uncertainty about whether she'd want to keep the baby or not. With Ari out of the picture at the moment – and a strong possibility of an Ari/Mia reunion on the cards in the longer-term – could all of this affect Mac's decisions for her own future?
4. Are Paul and Leon finally gone?
Gangsters Paul and Leon have been terrorising the Parata family for months. The villains have shown themselves to be formidable opponents, always popping up whenever the family least expect it.
When Paul knocked over Ari this week, he was quick to send a taunting message to Tane, warning that he'd be next. Paul appeared to have pushed things way too far this time, as Tane retaliated by tracking him down and beating him up.
Tane took Paul to the hospital afterwards and asked for someone to call the police so that Paul could finally be brought to justice. Is Paul's reign of terror over at last?
5. Can Christian get his confidence back?
Christian thought that he'd resolved his feud with Lewis after digging out the details of Anna's death, which proved that he wasn't negligent when overseeing her surgery.
Unfortunately, tensions flared up again when Christian realised that Lewis had his wires crossed and thought that he'd accepted responsibility for Anna's tragic demise.
Christian was quick to point out that this was not the case, which sent the two colleagues straight back to square one with their emotionally-charged dispute.
In the fallout from the latest row, Christian started to doubt his abilities as a surgeon and fussed around Marilyn following her recent fall, desperately hoping that he hadn't missed something after sending her home. Tori was concerned that Christian was going overboard with his cautious approach.
Christian showed just how capable he really is when he oversaw Ari's successful surgery, but will this be enough to boost his confidence again?
6. Will Dean and Amber become a couple?
Dean and Amber faced some interesting questions from their young son Jai over their new living arrangement. Now that Amber and Jai are staying at the pier apartment, Jai wanted to know why his parents don't share the same bed.
Dean and Amber gently explained that all families are different, but with a growing chemistry between them, Dean later asked Amber why they were holding back from becoming a proper couple.
Amber admitted that she's more reserved this time because she's not the only one who could get hurt, referring to Jai. Can Dean prove himself to Amber as a suitable romantic match – and a good father?
7. When will Ryder admit his feelings for Chloe?
The slow-burn approach to Ryder and Chloe's new romance continues. After briefly bonding when they were kidnapped together, Ryder and Chloe quickly reverted to their old ways by bickering constantly. Nikau and Bella were frustrated that they seemed incapable of being civil.
After annoying Nikau once too often, Chloe dropped the frosty act and finally thanked Ryder for supporting her when they were trapped. Chloe kissed Ryder, but was disappointed when he dismissed it as a mistake the following day.
The ball is clearly now in Ryder's court as Chloe waits to see whether he'll acknowledge his feelings for her, but how long will this take?
8. Will there be a breakthrough for Martha?
Martha has spent the past few days receiving psychiatric treatment in hospital, but when Roo paid her a visit, she was disappointed to find that her mum still believed her visions of Kieran were real.
Things only got worse when Alf received a call from hto let him know that Martha had gone missing.
Next week, Martha arrives back in the Bay and begs Irene to prove that she's telling the truth.
Irene previously saw Martha chatting to thin air, but went along with her claims that Kieran was really there. Could there be a breakthrough for Martha when Irene now clarifies that this wasn't the case?
