Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours aired the final episode of its late-night Endgame series on Friday (March 20) and it's fair to say that the show saved the best until last. Tense scenes, amazing performances and a whopper of a cliffhanger were among the highlights.
The 10pm specials may now be over, but we've been left with plenty of questions ahead of next week. Here's our round-up of the biggest ones – with some answers too!
1. Is Gary Canning dead?
Following in the footsteps of Prue Wallace's jaw-dropping exit, Neighbours has now waved goodbye to Gary Canning in equally shocking circumstances. The unlikely hero tried to save Bea and Harlow from the mineshaft, but Finn crept up behind and shot him with a bow and arrow, fatally wounding him.
Soap characters can be awfully resilient when it comes to terrible injuries, but Digital Spy can confirm that Gary is the second of the three deaths billed for the 35th anniversary celebrations.
Damien Richardson has now left the cast and will be removed from the opening titles next week, when the regular daytime episodes explore the aftermath of Gary's death.
2. Who else dies?
Hang on a minute… Neighbours promised three deaths as part of its 35th anniversary celebrations but we've only seen two. Don't demand a look at the refund policy – turns out the third one doesn't air until next week, when the dramatic storyline continues in the normal daily episodes.
The end-of-episode promo correctly teased "one more death" but we can't reveal the identity of the unlucky character until the exit scene airs on screen.
3. Who survived that fire?
Before leaving the island with baby Aster, Finn cruelly started a fire that spread rapidly – threatening the lives of everyone still present for Elly's birthday celebrations.
Next week's spoilers have already named some of the survivors, so if you really want to check them out, you can read them here.
4. What does Finn have in store for Susan?
Finn has kidnapped baby Aster and will now be turning his attentions to Susan. Monday's Neighbours episode (March 23) is a two-hander special, featuring only Rob Mills and Jackie Woodburne in their roles as Finn and Susan.
When Finn returns to Ramsay Street, he manages to lure Susan away from the Kennedy house by claiming that a heartbroken Bea is staying in a cabin in the Snowy Mountains and needs some support.
After being taken away by Finn, a shocked Susan realises his memories are back and finds herself in terrible danger when he plans to kill her.
5. What will Harry Sinclair do now?
Harry Sinclair keeps flip-flopping when it comes to his opinion on Finn, but was recently won over by him again after they slept together on the island.
Harry popped up again in the final episode of Endgame, when he drove past Paul and a weakened Toadie on a road back on the mainland. Paul thought Harry would help him get Toadie to hospital, but he pulled a gun on them instead. Poor Toadie has definitely had better weeks, but how much of a threat does Harry pose?
6. Which returning characters are staying for longer?
If you've enjoyed having familiar faces back on screen for the 35th anniversary in the daytime episodes, you'll be glad to hear that some of them are sticking around for a little bit longer.
Sky Mangel and Mark Brennan both still have roles to play in future episodes, taking centre stage as part of a big storyline.
7. What does the future hold for Jane and Des?
Jane's (rather hasty) wedding to Des was a highlight of the 35th anniversary week and a real treat for old-school fans of the show.
Channel 5 commissioning editor Greg Barnett, who oversees Neighbours for the UK audience, recently told Digital Spy that Jane could potentially make a permanent return to the series in the not-too-distant future. With talk of a big secret, it seems we'll be seeing her again – but what does that mean for Des?
8. Will we see more of Richie?
Friday's daytime episode also saw Mackenzie Hargreaves make a return to our screens, letting slip over Harlow and Hendrix sneaking away to the island. Georgie Stone, who plays Mackenzie, is now a regular cast member and is about to be added to the opening titles.
Fans of Neighbours' online spin-off Erinsborough High will have been pleased to see that Mackenzie's relationship with Richie Amblin is still going strong. Their connection was well-received among Erinsborough High viewers so let's hope we see more of Richie too in the weeks ahead.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
