‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Season 11, Episode 8, ‘Charlie Catches a Leprechaun’

For a show all about drinking, it would be criminal not to have a St. Patrick’s Day episode. To capitalize on the holiday, Dennis Reynolds (Glenn Howerton) comes up with the idea to take Paddy’s on the road in the form of a wagon — leading Mac (Rob McElhenney), Charlie Kelly (Charlie Kelly), Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito) and Dee Reynolds (Kaitlin Olson) to quickly lose interest.

While Dennis brings his vision to life, Charlie chooses drinking paints over pints and enlists Mac to help him see if his efforts to catch a leprechaun proved fruitful. His glue traps seemingly work, even though the man they captured won’t admit to being one. After more misadventure, Mac discovers their prisoner is a pickpocket and hits Paddy’s every March 17.

On top of those grievances, Jo forces everyone to stay late because she’s a workaholic. The employees try to make multiple breaks for the bar, but it’s not until Michael stands up for the staff that they join traveling salesman Todd Packer (David Koechner) for some green beer.

Beyond green beer, she and Teddy (Larry Murphy) dye the ketchup, fries and burger meat. When no one wants to eat green meat, she serves up sliders at the St. Patrick’s Day street fair and bring the crowd back to the restaurant.

In another part of town, Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) tries to get lucky at a liquidation auction. He and the kids get roped into helping the previous owner steal the flat-top grill. They get caught red-handed, which leads to Bob worrying about his establishment failing. He’s buoyed when the gang gets back to the burger joint and it’s full of hungry patrons.
