88-year-old exotic dancer undresses and shocks 'AGT' judges
The auditions came to an end on America's Got Talent Tuesday, but before the judges determined who of the 138 approved acts would move on to the live shows, they were introduced to a firecracker contestant – Penny Starr Sr.
The 88-year-old exotic dancer, who bills herself as "America's oldest burlesque dancer" playfully shared that she is now a widow after all six of her husbands died. When Simon Cowell asked Penny if she's looking for another husband, Penny hilariously responded, "Yes, but it takes a while to break them in." Penny also said that "Simon's alright. He's come a long way in the last couple years."
Penny definitely put on a grand old show as she proceeded to shed feathers, along with a few other garments, to the spirited tune of "You're a Grand Old Flag," and the judges were totally shocked that she was actually undressing herself on stage!
Meanwhile, viewers at home were also having a good time watching Penny's performance, but, in the end, only 55 out of 138 acts are moving on to the live shows and, unfortunately, Penny was not one of them, despite promising she would take more clothes off if she did.
"If you were to go forward, would more clothes come off?" Simon asked. Penny exclaimed, "Oh yes! Absolutely!"
