9,000 children use paddling pool in 2024 - and it shuts after this weekend
A children's paddling pool is preparing to close for the 2024 summer season. Congleton Paddling Pool opens for the final time on Sunday 1 September.
It has already welcomed more than 9,000 children this year - despite the wet summer.
Mayor Kay Wesley said: "We want to thank everyone who visited the paddling pool this summer. It has been heart-warming to see so many families enjoying this special attraction in our town. Although the weather wasn’t always on our side early in the season, the sun eventually shone through, giving us some scorching days that were perfect for a splash in the pool. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure every session ran smoothly, and I couldn’t be prouder of their dedication."
The pool is suitable for under-11s and open from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm today and tomorrow. The dates for 2025 are yet to be announced.
