Holby City airs some of its most sinister scenes in a long time next week as Evan and Chloe's ongoing story comes to a head.
Things take a terrifying turn when Evan follows Chloe to her country escape, with shocking consequences that will change several lives forever. It's going to be a very bumpy ride, so here is a round-up of everything in store for you...
1. Chloe's fears become a reality
Chloe has spent the last few weeks trying to ignore the troubling suspicions that Evan was still stalking her, but sadly, her worst fears are about to become a reality.
Last night's episode showed Evan following Chloe to a remote cottage in the country and she's utterly panic-stricken when he welcomes himself into her holiday home – with dark and devastating intentions.
Although we are sworn to secrecy on how the story unfolds, Amy Lennox, who plays Chloe, reckons the episode is reminiscent of a horror movie. And we're right behind her on that one.
2. Evan turns violent
As Evan refuses to back down, his behaviour will turn more terrifying than ever before. Although Chloe initially tries to keep Evan on side, she is left in a very vulnerable position when she makes a failed attempt to run away.
When Evan reveals his violent side, it's clear that Chloe is in serious danger – but will anyone come to her rescue?
3. Nicky learns a shocking truth
While Chloe is enduring a terrifying time in the country, her friends back at Holby start fearing for her safety as further truths about Evan come to light.
When Evan's ex Sophie is brought into the hospital following a brutal beating, she eventually plucks up the courage to tell Nicky how her injuries really came about.
Nicky listens on in horror as Sophie explains that Evan attacked her and that he's extremely violent, but is it too late to save Chloe?
4. Chloe fights for her freedom
Aware she needs to get out of the cottage – and quick – Chloe attempts to outsmart Evan, but not before making a frantic call to her mum.
When Ange implores her distraught daughter to defend herself at all costs, Chloe takes her advice and grabs a weapon – believing that this is the only way she can get away.
Unfortunately, Evan is already one step ahead of her and chases Chloe into the country fields in nail-bitingly eerie scenes that will have you shouting at your screens.
5. Cameron gets devastating news
Poor Cameron hasn't exactly had it easy these last few months, but his world is about to be shattered all over again.
Not only is he out of his mind with worry for Chloe, but Cameron is about to be dealt another devastating blow when an army associate turns up with an update.
With Cameron on a mission to try and help Ric, he is forced to abandon the quest when he receives heartbreaking news about his mum Bernie. What is it? And how will Cameron cope with this?
6. Darla's condition deteriorates
After giving birth in last night's episode, Darla's health decline rapidly in conjunction with her grandad's Ric's own deteriorating health.
As Darla is rushed into emergency surgery, the diligent Holby doctors face a race against time to try and stop her life-threatening bleed. But with several members of the team enduring a host of other issues outside the operating room, will Darla's surgery go according to plan?
7. Ric faces up to reality
While Darla undergoes life-changing surgery, Ric will be forced to acknowledge his own health concerns in next week's episode, when he suffers more symptoms that he can no longer ignore.
As the walls start to close in, Ric realises that he needs to get answers once and for all– but what does the future hold for him?
8. Ange springs to action
Ange will already have a nagging feeling that something is amiss with Chloe, long before he daughter calls for frantic help.
When a phone conversation with Chloe leaves Ange fearing the worst, she immediately springs to action and races to the cottage.
Sadly, by the time Ange arrives on the scene, things have already got drastically out of hand – leaving her with a big decision to make. But what will Ange find when she gets there? Well, here's a clue...
9. Someone's life is left hanging in the balance
That's right. Next week's explosive episode will conclude with someone fighting for their life, with huge repercussions for everyone involved. But is it Chloe, Evan or even Ange? You'll have to wait and see.
