Sheila shamelessly uses her health scare to her advantage, hoping to exploit it as part of her ongoing mission to win back Clive. In order to achieve her aim, Sheila wants Des to stick around for a while and drive a wedge between Clive and Jane.

Although Des is not on board with this idea, Sheila is not listening to his protests and announces to everyone that he has agreed to stay in Erinsborough to look after her.

As Sheila goes full steam ahead with her scheme, she arranges for Des and Jane to spend the day together – joined by their old friend Melanie Pearson. Melanie was a Neighbours regular between 1987 and 1991, and was last seen making a cameo in the 20th anniversary episode in 2005.

As Melanie catches up with her mates, it's clear that she still has no filter and she can't resist sharing her opinions on Jane's new romance.

While Jane is busy spending the afternoon with Des and Melanie, a determined Sheila takes the opportunity to invite Clive over.

Sheila tells Clive that she wants some medical advice about her pacemaker, but they end up heading to the Tram together to support Kyle as he takes part in the Best Dish of Erinsborough competition.

Sheila appreciates Clive's moral support and suspects that it's only a matter of time before they reunite, but she may be seriously misreading Clive's current mindset.

Hendrix remains in debt to Kane, but is now in a vicious circle. He believes he has to continue playing blackjack games in the hope of earning enough money to pay back what he owes.

During the latest game, Kane raises the stakes by offering Hendrix a chance to clear his entire debt. However, if the terrified teen loses, Kane will get Number 24.

Even though Number 24 isn't his to gamble, Hendrix agrees to the alarming deal. Kane is triumphant when the cards fall in his favour, leaving Hendrix in a bigger mess than ever.
