91-year-old woman who went missing found after multi-agency effort

An update has been released on a 91-year-old woman who went missing. North Wales Police launched an appeal to find the elderly woman named only as Adele, who went missing in the Llanfairtalhairan area on Tuesday. Thankfully she was later found.

The North East Wales Search and Rescue Team have released further details on the successful effort to find her. It said: "We were contacted by @northwalespolice at 23:08hrs on Tuesday to a 91 year old vulnerable female in the Llanfair TH area. The team searched through the night and reconvened the next day with the help of @mon_search.

"The lady was found by team members at approximately 18:58hrs on Wednesday hypothermic and injured. The team provided initial treatment and stabilsed her. She was then taken by land ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd with air ambulance clinicians travelling with her.

"This was a truly multi-agency event. We were joined by NWP, @northwalesfire MONSAR, @sarda_wales , @welshambulanceservice & @air_ambulance

"We must give a huge thank you to the Black Lion Pub at Llanfair TH for their hospitality, which was second to none while we were set up in their carpark. We wish the casualty well."
