999 Crews called to scene of crash on busy motorway
999 crews were called to a crash on a busy motorway near Glasgow.
Emergency crews were called to the M80 near junction 5 where a crash occurred on the southbound lane around 2.35pm on Friday afternoon.
Police and emergency services were in attendance.
It is not currently known if anyone was injured in the crash.
A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 2.30pm on Friday, March 17 to reports of a road traffic collision on the M80, close to junction five.
"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene, where firefighters worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene."
Police Scotland has been asked for comment.
