2016 has been the strangest year in a very, very, long time.

We’ve seen Leicester City defy 1000/1 odds to win the Premier League, we’ve seen the UK vote to leave the European Union – and now we’re waking up to the prospect of Donald Trump as the next US president.

But while it’s been a nightmare for most of us, it could have proven to be a punter’s dream – after it was revealed that a £5 bet on all three events would have paid out a cool £12.5 million.

It’s yet to be determined whether anyone *did* dare to chance such a bet, but it would certainly act as some kind of consolation for anyone who isn’t too happy with the result of the election.

Or alternatively, it could go towards building a luxurious nuclear fallout shelter in the very near future. Maybe.
