A21 closure diversions in full as Kent Police shut road
Drivers have been warned a busy A road in Kent will be shut 'for several hours' due to a 'police incident.' Part of the A21 has been closed tonight (Saturday, November 16) by police while emergency services are at the scene.
The road was originally blocked both ways but the northbound reopened earlier this evening. Motorists have been warned of long delays on approach to the scene and have been told to allow extra time for their journeys. Diversions have now been put in place.
National Highways said: "The A21 in Kent is closed southbound between the A228 (Pembury) and B2160 (Kipping's Cross) for a Police Led Incident. Emergency services including Kent Police are in attendance. Police investigations will be taking place and the road is likely to remain closed for several hours.
