A30 works see traffic diverted as B3277 link road towards St Agnes closed for two weeks
A link road off the A30 in Cornwall is closed for two weeks while work is carried out. From Monday (September 9), a full closure is in place on the B3277 link road from Chiverton junction to the services roundabout.
The closure will continue for two weeks until 6am on Monday, September 23. National Highways said that now the school summer holidays are over, it will be implementing some closures and traffic control on local roads so it can continue finishing work on the A30 scheme throughout the autumn.
Traffic heading from the A30 to St Agnes will be diverted along the A30 to Scorrier junction then through Blackwater before re-joining the B3277 at the services roundabout (and vice versa). You can view the closed section of the B3277 and a diversion route map here.

National Highways said it was installing temporary traffic lights on the A3075 near Chiverton junction - the road toward Perranporth to Newquay - from Monday (September 9) for up to six weeks. These will operate from 9.30am to 4pm each day.
However, the lights will not be in place during the Little Orchard cider and music festival this weekend (September 13 to 15). Drivers are being urged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys during these closures.
The 37th annual Martin Jennings Memorial motorcycle run is scheduled to take place through Cornwall on Sunday (September 15) having been postponed from Sunday (September 8). The highways company said while there are no traffic restrictions in place, this section of the A30 will be very busy and there are likely to be delays to journeys. See full details of the Jennings run route and timings here.
Therefore, it asked drivers to plan ahead and if they can and avoid this section of the A30 in the early afternoon by finding alternative routes where possible.
