Aaron Rodgers Talks Jordan Rodgers Feud and Calls 'The Bachelorette' a "Bullshit Show"
Please cast your mind back to JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette, where she met and fell in love with Jordan Rodgers—aka the brother of NFL player Aaron Rodgers. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the most dramatic of times. Mostly because Aaron and Jordan clearly didn't have much of a relationship, and ABC dramatically left two empty chairs at the dinner table (representing Aaron and then-girlfriend Olivia Munn) during Hometown Dates.
Cut to now, and Aaron is finally opening up about his feud with Jordan. “It wasn’t like I was super duper close with everybody in the family. I was close with my little brother,” he said on Aaron Rodgers: Enigma (via Us Weekly). “But in actuality, it goes back to stuff from high school that kind of made me feel distant. Stuff in college, stuff post-college.”
He decided to stay “quiet” about their personal drama, and “thought the best way to do it was just don’t talk about it publicly.”
But then Jordan went onto The Bachelorette (he and JoJo are now married!), and that aforementioned missing chairs scene was filmed.
“And what do they do? They go on a bullshit show and leave two empty chairs," Aaron said. "They all agreed this was a good thing to do, to leave two empty chairs at a stupid dating show that my brother just went on to get famous—his words, not mine. That he ended up winning. But a dinner that was during the season, I was never asked to go to. Not that I would’ve gone.”
As for where things stand now, Aaron said "People ask me, ‘Is there hope for reconciliation?’ I say, ‘Yeah of course. Of course.' I don’t want them to fail, to struggle, to have any strife or issues. I don’t wish any ill will on them at all. It’s more like this — we’re just different steps on a timeline of our own journeys.”
