Aaron Rodgers activated by Packers, will start against Seahawks after missing time with COVID-19

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday and is expected to start in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Rodgers was back in the building Saturday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, which signaled Rodgers would return after missing the team's Week 9 game due to a positive COVID-19 test.

Rodgers missed the team's Week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs after testing positive for COVID-19. Rodgers, who is not vaccinated, was required to miss 10 days under NFL protocols. Jordan Love got the start as the Chiefs defeated the Packers 13-7.

Aaron Rodgers will face Russell Wilson in Week 10

Rodgers' activation sets up a marquee matchup at quarterback. After missing multiple games due to a finger injury, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is also set to return in Week 10.

Rodgers and Wilson have faced off in the past. The two have played against each other six times in the regular season. They've split those meetings 3-3. All six of Wilson's regular season games against the Packers have come with Rodgers under center. Wilson has thrown for nine touchdowns against six interceptions in those games.

Rodgers has faced the Seahawks nine times over his career. Those first three games came before Wilson was drafted by Seattle. Rodgers has 12 touchdowns against two interceptions in nine career games against the Seahawks.

The two teams haven't played a regular season game since 2018, which the Seahawks narrowly won 27-24. Green Bay got revenge last season, however, knocking the Seahawks out of the playoffs in the divisional round.
