Aaron Taylor-Johnson may quit Hollywood for fatherhood
He’s become a global star thanks to roles in blockbusters Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron – but Aaron Taylor-Johnson admits he’s quite happy to give it all up for his family.
The 26-year-old revealed he often considers quitting his lucrative Hollywood career to spend more time with his wife, artist-turned-director Sam Taylor-Johnson and their two daughters – Wylda Rae, six, and Romy Hero, four, and his two step-daughters.
In fact, the actor confessed he is far more content tending to his own vegetable garden and chicken coop than he is on the big screen.
‘I get more fulfilment from being a father than I do from being an actor. I’m still constantly wanting to give it up,’ he told Mr Porter magazine.
The Nocturnal Animals star also touched on the ongoing interest in his marriage to Sam, who he first met when she directed him in Beatles biopic Nowhere Boy in 2009, and is 26 years his senior.
‘I don’t really analyse our relationship,’ he added. ‘I just know that it works.
‘I just feel secure and loved and safe. We have this very deep connection. We’re just in synch.’
Aaron also revealed that being surrounded by ‘a wife, four daughters, two female dogs and three female chickens’, has happily turned him into a feminist.
