'Abandoned' van bursts into fireball near Scots supermarket as SFRS tackle blaze
An abandoned van has burst into flames near to a Scots supermarket this evening. Emergency crews have raced to Station Road in Kinross to tackle the blaze to the vehicle.
A dramatic image from the scene shows a fireball exploding from the front of the pick-up style truck. Firefighters raced to the scene to extinguish the flames after the alarm was raised around 7.36pm.
Scottish Fire and Rescue sent out one appliance to deal with the incident. Police were also in attendance. The Record understands the truck had been left dumped by the side of the road just across from Sainsbury's supermarket.

A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “We were called to reports of one vehicle on fire around 7.36pm on Thursday, August 22. One pump is attendance and crews remain at the scene.
“We believe the vehicle was abandoned, police were also in attendance. There are no injuries."
Police Scotland were contacted for comment.
