In a message shared with her Instagram followers this week, Coleen said: "I've always said no and put it off because the kids have been young and I've had quite a lot on. But this year, I thought, I quite fancy doing it.
"I would like to experience something different, do something for myself, meet new people. I'm looking forward to doing the trials."
Coleen admitted she was worried about the prospect of leaving behind her children. She added: "Don't get me wrong. I'm really anxious about leaving the kids. That's been my biggest thing. I've come to terms with it. I've planned and prepped.
"I've got an army of family and friends all helping out with the kids so they are going to be fine. They are probably going to have a great time while I'm away."
