Aberdeen Airport owner AGS acquired by major firm as deal to be completed by 2025
Aberdeen Airport owner AGS Airports has been acquired by a major management company in a deal expected to be completed by next year.
AGS Airports was established in 2014 and operates Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Southampton airports. AviAlliance, who completed the acquisition, says it will leverage its extensive global airport expertise to responsibly develop AGS Airports, enhancing air connectivity, improve the passenger experience, and support local communities.
The acquisition of AGS Airports from Ferrovial and Macquarie occurred for an enterprise value of £1.53billion. The transaction is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2025.

AviAlliance’s portfolio of four airports served 73 million passengers in 2023 - an increase of more than 20 percent compared to 2022.
