Aberdeen city centre road to shut for Union Bridge works this weekend
Aberdeen drivers have been warned of a major city centre road closure this weekend amid ongoing works to Union Street Central.
Investigation works are set to be carried out on the underside of Union Bridge, meaning the southbound carriageway of Denburn Road will shut on Sunday, November 17.
Aberdeen City Council say the closure is to ensure the works can be carried out safely, with the road set to be shut from Woolmanhill Roundabout to Wapping Street junction.

Drivers will be diverted during the closure, which is set to be enforced from 9am on Sunday until 4pm, with the road set to reopen before the Christmas Parade gets underway.
The diversion will see drivers diverted via Skene Street, Rosemount Viaduct, Union Terrace, and Bridge Street.
The bus gate on Bridge Street will also be temporarily suspended between 9am and 4pm to facilitate diverted traffic.
The northbound carriageway of Denburn Road will remain open as normal.
Anyone with questions about the closure can contact the Union Street Central site team on streetscape-market@morrisonconstruction.co.uk.
