Aberdeen homes evacuated after discovery of 'hazardous substances'
A number of properties in Aberdeen were evacuated by police on Sunday following the discovery of 'potentially hazardous substances' within a flat.
Officers were called to the scene on Cadenhead Place at around 9.55am yesterday (August 25) with nearby homes evacuated as a precation.
Police remained in the area throughout the day and are still at the scene on Monday as enquiries into the incident continue.

The nature of the substances found inside the flat are unknown at this stage, and police are reporting no injuries from the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers attended a flat in Cadenhead Place, Aberdeen, around 9.55am on Sunday, 25 August, 2024, following the discovery of potentially hazardous substances within.
"A number of properties were evacuated as a precaution, however residents have now returned.
"Emergency services remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing."
