A special limited-edition whisky has been launched as part of Aberdeen International Airport’s 90th anniversary.

Only 216 bottles of the special drink, a Chieftain’s 11-Year-Old Single Cask have been released, exclusively available at the North East’s largest transport hub in the Aberdeen World Duty Free store.

Invited guests of Aberdeen International Airport got a first look at the whisky during a civic reception held at the historic Aberdeen Town House on Thursday (26th September).

More than 80 people, including stakeholders and partners of the airport were invited to the Town House by the Lord Provost in a special event celebrating the incredible nine-decade milestone.

This exclusive whisky, sourced from the renowned Speyside region, has been aged in a first-fill bourbon cask, ensuring a rich and distinctive flavour profile.

Bottled at cask strength in September, this 11-year-old single malt offers a true taste of Scotland’s whisky heritage. Only 216 bottles have been produced, making this a highly sought-after collector’s item, which World Duty Free are proud to be able to offer their customers.
